A premium Hong Kong private club required a cold plunge recovery system that would meet the performance standards of a high-end fitness facility while respecting the architectural integrity of a distinguished heritage setting.
Kung Sheung delivered an iCoolSport chiller system installation — from initial MEP coordination through to commissioning and staff training. The system delivers consistent sub-10°C water temperature with minimal energy overhead, integrated seamlessly into an existing wellness suite.
The club's mechanical plant room had limited floor space and no provision for additional drainage infrastructure. The cold plunge needed to share MEP capacity with an existing steam room and sauna circuit.
Our engineers performed a full thermal load calculation and designed a compact chiller arrangement with a secondary drainage sump pump. The dual-temperature capability allows the club to offer both cold plunge (3–8°C) and contrast therapy (12–15°C) from a single unit — maximising utility within a constrained footprint.
Every junction, seal, and surface was detailed to withstand continuous immersion and daily member traffic — without compromising the club's refined interior standards.
The vessel surround was fabricated in brushed stainless steel with a seamless welded skirt to prevent water ingress behind the shell. All exposed pipework was run in insulated copper within a concealed chase, maintaining both thermal efficiency and visual cleanliness. A digital control panel allows staff to adjust temperature, cycle timers, and filter backwash from a single interface.
Temperature control requirements were reviewed and engineered to maintain stable setpoints across all operating modes. The cold plunge has become one of the most utilised recovery amenities in the club's wellness suite.
From feasibility to commissioning, we design and install cold plunge systems for hotels, private clubs, and premium residential projects across Hong Kong, Macau, and the Greater Bay Area.
